Max Snaps

I have always used the 3d snap function without much hassle, but now the function isn't working the way it normally does.

I can still grab an object by a vertice or endpoint, but when I move it to snap with another vertice or endpoint it doesn't snap.

It moves the object from its original location, but seems to offset it somewhat from the desired position.

Have I perhaps unknowingly changed some setting?

Anybody experienced this and know how to fix it?

1. Right click the Snap Toggle button in the main toolbar at the top of the MAX window (...the button with the magnet icon as you know)

>>>the Grid and Snap Settings window displays...

2. Click the (OPTIONS) button

>>>the Grid and Snap Settings window changes and displays the snap options

3. Check this:[use axis constraint]...(translation subarea)

>>>this setting will solve the problem;)

Cheers from Greece:D

Thanks, that works great...now one more thing:

I am having the same type of issue with moving the object's pivot point to a new location.

Any suggestions for that?
