roarke
Morning Masters, I made a model of a residential house and I created a polyline for a ground and extruded it. then when I imported it to viz, it looks like a shattered glass. I putted a grass map on it but it produced a "broken glass like pattern". The grass solid In Cad is okay but in viz it just shatters. Please...help! jucaro
Why not use the DWG File link Tool?
STRAT
as a mesh smooth. can you post up a piccy to better illustrate the problem?
roarke
You know i organize my layers in Cad meticulously. and I just wonder why some of my 3d models like...concrete walks, ground, etc... have a shatterd glass like patterns. anyway, maybe its due to my extrusions. Maybe it overlaps one 3d layer. Or i,m wrong?
David Barbarash
Are you using a UVW map? I've had that problem when the mapping was set to face on an AEC created terrain. Try changing the mapping to box or change your material map to something larger, maybe a procedural map... David Barbarash
abicalho
You have coincident faces on your floor object. From the Readme: Sometimes, coincident faces may cause artifacts. This usually happens with Extruded Splines where Extrude Height is 0 and both Cap Start and Cap End are turned on. Turn one of them off or make Extrude Height > 0. quizzy
And if the ground is straight, I allways collapse the editable spline into an editable mesh... Or add the edit mesh modifier to keep my original spline intact...
