JamesTaylor
if its not your reflection values, try doing a search in the vray forum on CGA - i'm sure this issue has arisen a few times in the last couple of years, with a fairly simple solution - just can't remember what it is off the top of my head! Zdravko Barisic
You added glossy reflections to your walls, as the background enviroment is set for reflections they are reflecting on your walls on the same place where the backroung images itself is. So, it looks like "transparent", even it is not. Make some plane for reflections behind your cam or add some other map for reflections, or check some map/color for overriding reflections in env slot of VRsettings. Good luck! tanni
Well I think you are using reflection on wall material cos that reflect your environment and the map set as planer, so it confuse you. change the background in photoshop this will look great. jonblaze
you are using too many reflective materials, check out if these are really appropriate/required...as a result the reflection on these element just run straight through to the background. get your lighting looking good and render with the backgroung turned off..., with vray enable overide environment colour and you can have the max backround colour set to black( this helps with alpha issues in Pshop) save out the final image as a *.tga file and composite your background and image together in photoshop are equivelent software. only3d
its either a glossy reflection issue as mentioned before or just that u forgot to use vray's enviroment override which causes the gi calculation to emit light according to the picture in the enviroment slot. remember in vray the gi is affected by the enviroments colour so if u place a picture there it will emit light accordingly.
