shikodesign2000
Hi, I know that this is not the suitable section for this question, cause I want to ask something in Combustion, I posted in the proper section, but no answers, I hope to be answered from anyone who have some experience in this software. My question is: How can I make fade "to black" or "from black" for any animation video? also, how can I make transitions? Sorry again, but really this can affect very much my present project:confused:
Thablanch
Turn off incremental save and backup on save when using DR. Save before sending the render. Should fix it

jonblaze
in your composite hierachy you should have the name of your imported file... ie..film footage...rght click on that and got to---operators---transitions----gradient wipe. you can adjust the values of the gradient wipe and animate to what ever time scale you require. you can also have multiples of this transition, just copy and paste and adjust as desired. be sure to set your base background to black. Thablanch
in the menus: customize > preferences > opens dialog box files tab > files handeling sections. Uncheck backup on save and increment on save. The reason why: I do not know..., but is was documented in previous builts, not to use theses features. seems that this is still following. I always forget to turn them off.

Thablanch
I do not use combustion that much, only for particles stuff.. usually I use AE. If you are looking for an editor only (stitching sequences) SONY vegas is a nice toolset. simple, efficient.
