kms
I've been a FMZ guy for quite some time and have become quite accustomed to the rounding tool. However, recently, I've been using a lot more of Viz and 3DS 5. But for the LIFE of me, I cannot figure out how to fillet a single edge of a box. I know this elementary but I can't find this in any manual anywhere! Please help! Another question sorta off topic. I do mostly arch vis and furniture design. Should I stick to 3DS MAX or is Viz more up my alley? Thanks!
Cesar R
hi, stick to Max since Viz is pretty much dead - correct? as far as the rounding tool, select the edge you want (sub object mode) and use the bevel tool
kid
Max/Viz hasn't really got a proper fillet command to use on an editable mesh. This script is about the closest thing there is; Script
kms
Kid, thanx for the script! is there any smoothing method that I can use in addition to that script so I don't have to increase the # of polygons in the chamfer so much?

Bret Bullough
This looks like a powerful tool. I am a beginer in viz4 and I am not familliar with scripting.I follow the instructions on the scripting link and have no luck. When I try to drag the text into my viewport Viz doesn't accept it.The only place I can send it to is the listener window. When this is done I can't find "PolyMartinAndersen" in the customize user interface window. Can anyone give a more detailed (beginer) set of instructions? Thanks.
