nelpiper
:confused:Hi everybody. I have a simple question, that can make a difference though. Let's suppose you render a UVW template from MAX and bring it over to photoshop. Now, you're going to apply a texture to the template. Then you realize that the bricks are too large for the template (I hope I have been clear so far). What would be the correct to do: scale down the texture on photoshop or use the "tile" in the material editor? If there is a more correct way to accomplish this, what would it be? Thanx. djohnson129
First, make sure you are using layers in photoshop. I dont mean to sound patronizing but just making sure you are. Second, ....just scale the brick texture in photoshop. It's more effective than tiling in max cuz you control the exact position and size of the texture on the unwrap. Lemme know if that helps or not. I did 3d modelling, texturing, and animating in college, so I know that area pretty well, but I doesnt excite me anymore. Now I'm learning architectural rendering and how to make photo-realistic renders. Anyways lemme know if you need more help ;D -David
