Aaron2004
Hello, I am currently using other design programs besides Autocad...(Just the software that we have where we work)...and I realized that if I ever need a new job, more than likely I will be using Autocad. My question is what version is best to learn...In highschool I took Autocad...and I could brush up on the skills, but drawing plans just seems impossible with offsetting my lines 3.5" and such. So is ArchiCAD a better bet? If I learn ArchiCAD, will I also be able to brush up on my long last AutoCAD skills? Thanks! Aaron
mbowers
I've been using Autocad since version 10 in High School on a summasketch pad and puck. Wow...such a long time ago. My experience is that Autocad is just one of many useful tools. I am more drawn to Autocad because of it's interoperability with other Autodesk products...Ie Revit, Max, Combustion...etc. I don't have any experience with Archicad but i hear that it is very powerful and another great tool. Good luck.
