Another thing to consider is that you're thesis will end up as another version of the information that's already out there. Since you don't have a vast amount of professional experience in the field, I don't see how you could possibly provide a personal perspective on these topics. Having an interest in 3d is not going to be enough to give you the insight you'll need to write a thesis of this magnitude. I've been doing this for nearly ten years, starting with scanline and I don't think I would be able to write this thesis.
