karldavies
Hi guys, this is my first thread on this forum, I am currently getting my folio together so I can start approaching potential clients. At the moment I am working in the computer games industry but my passion for architecture is taking over. I just wanted to know how much you guys are charging. I do realise it varies job to job, but do you have a standard hourly rate? Also what about when additional ammendments need to be made? I am just interested to know, so I can get an idea about what I should be asking for. Thanks in advance

Mat@MDI-Digital
my rates about £200-250 a day...But to be fair, it depends largly on the client and job.
STRAT
yes. i'd say it depends on the client and job too. i might charge £800-£1000 for a weekend's worth of work. or if it's a few days worth then £200-£250 a day sounds about right. as an hourly rate i'll charge in the region of £50. (again depending on job and duration) Also, if my client is a high flying firm where cash means nothing, i might bump my prices up to suit. It also depends on your reputation and standing as a freelancing artist. as a nuubie beginner with basic drafting and average visualisation skills you might be able to demand £25-£35 maybe. This also applies for the above prices. a nubie couldn't really expect to earn close to those prices. also, if the project changes en-route, then thats up to you and your business head to cover all bases before you commence.
