Jeff Mottle
This week we’re very excited to unveil a new collaboration project where we’ve integrating Cozimo’s real-time collaboration tool directly into our gallery. In the past, these galleries have always been something of a one-way show but now we’re added a whole new dimension to the experience Now visitors can actively engage and collaborate on any image, leaving markups and comments or even interactively discussing the work in real-time with other online members. As far as we know, providing this level of collaboration is a first for any online magazine anywhere on the internet. We’re hoping this will be the first of many such efforts on our part to help promote and support more collaboration in creative online communities. To try it out, simply register and log into the main CGA site from the homepage and nagvigate to any image in our gallery. PLEASE only leave legitemet feedback, comments and markups on gallery images. if you want to experiment, please do so on this image once you are logged in: http://www.cgarchitect.com/gallery/image_spotlight.asp?galleryID=10007 If you have any questions or comments on this new feature, please post them in this thread. TheAllusionisst
I must be the only one that doesn't get it then. On CGarchitects home page, select the 'Log In Here' icon on the right of the screen, then when you follow the links to the gallery the Cozimo tools are available. Hope that helps

mfeldman
Hi Jeff, As a long-time beta tester of Cozimo, I thought I would "break the ice" and post my first post here. Great idea to integrate Cozimo into your site - I'd like to see Cozimo set up on the challenge competition and Work in Progress parts of cgarchitect, as that is where the most active commenting occurs, and where the potential for real-time collaboration is greatest. I use Cozimo with my staff whenever we get into complicated discussions, both for design and for critiques of ongoing work, from wherever I am in the world. An interview with Cozimo would also be interesting, perhaps tying in the Lightscape and VIZ history aspects of the story. I would also be happy to do a more detailed discussion thread on our workflow with Cozimo, which may help others, if you think it would be interesting to the community. IHAB
Please be aware that the forum and this part of the site are not linked. Currently they run independantly of each other and therefore require seperate logins and registrations. So this is displayed on the log-in page of the "Submit art work" and now "NEW Gallery Image Collaboration with Cozimo" .I discovered that I used to log-in to submit art work to the gallery in the past (nearly2002-2003),so I had a usname & password (forgotten ) to the gallery since then. Why is this seperation bet. parts of the site?I mean why not 1 usname & password to various parts of the site, forum & gallery? Because creating a unified login is a MAJOR programming undertaking. While it might seem easy, trust me it's many many weeks of work and testing. I'm going to attempt a more unified login for the site next year, but how to handle and merge logins when they have nothing in common (for example someone used two separate email addresses) is a very complicated task.
