proces2
i have been working with the panorama exporter in VIZ. my basic problem is that i want to be able to render the panorama, then bring the file (in TIF format) into Photoshop to adjust colors, textures, etc (the usual touch-ups), then be able to create a Quicktime VR from that file. the problem is when you re-open one of the VR images in VIZ, the exporter disables the option of creating a Quicktime VR file. it seems that you can only create the qtvr immediately afte the pano is created. anyone have any suggestions of how i can use this process and produce a qtvr file in the end. or is there a compatible shareware viewer that can let you view the image as a panoramic (outside of VIZ). sean
vizwhiz
hi There proces2, (great website) say i think something that might be a possible work around is to save out the render to a jpg file extension which should be editable in a FotoChop program or so and then later rename the file extension to "pan" which will then be readable by the PanViewer (at least) i have used This Technique to add Text to the "flat" jpg file and adjust colors but, havent used This to make a QT file but This does work with the *jpg to *pan Thanks vizwhiz
proces2
renaming the file to .pan is the process that works. viz4 does not create a .pan file anymore - they switched engines for creating the panoramic from viz r3. thanks a ton for the tip! that saved me countless hours of having to make the model absolutely picture perfect to get a good looking pano. sean
bigcahunak
If I'm not mistaken here, its the other way around... render the panorama as usual, change file extension to .jpg, if it works than tweek in PS, save, and last, rename back the file extension.
