Degree in this field

Is there such a thing as a degree in the field of Arch Viz ?

 

remote if possible.

 

or what degree would be relivent appart from achitectural degree.

I really dont think there would be a relevant degree course.

 

how can you grade such a course?, viz is dictated by what the architect has produced and wishes to show about the scheme.

 

opinion on good work is relative, so who is to say one's work is better than another's?

 

it can get to the extreme where it would be a viz course based on technical ability, who really gives a monkies about how many irr maps, lmc, qqc, pmt etc...yawn.

 

rambling on a bit now...in short, I dont think such a degree would benefit anyone

Well if you can get a degree in fine arts, then surely there could be nothing wrong with a degree in architectural illustration. However, I don't think that actually exists yet.

The University of Utah has been looking into starting one for a little while now but I don't believe they have done anything serious yet.

i think Wolverhampton Uni runs a course which covers a lot of Arch Viz also Bournmouth or Southampton Uni run a lot of digital design courses, probably worth a look
