Andy Park
Would you believe I just founf out that the council are building a 7 storey flat right beside my flat. from what i can tell it's going to cut out the sun to my garden from 5 onwards. i'm doing a simulation in max using the mr sun/sky to get a proper sun position. What I would really like to show is a clock in the corner as the animation runs from 6am to 10pm. any ideas how to do this, i'm on a tight schedule as i have a meeting with my MP on monday. ralopez
I guess Andy would be maxscripting it, but if I am not mistaken there is a max script which will do this for you. I might be mistaken.

Andy Park
Mental ray sun, you can specify place, time of day and year. brilliant. Anyone know how to do a counter on screen. I suppose a could do a clock face and animate that, but I would prefer a counter.
Hazdaz
easiest thing to do would be to make an analog clock and either float iy right infront of the camara, or do it in a completely different scene and merge them together after with After Effects or similar app. I also wouldn't be surprised if AE had a clocl/counter tool built right into it.
