try setting up a real point of view, lets say 1.78mts or something around that.

Place a texture asphalt on the street. You can tweak this with some reflections maps on vray materials.

add scale, by placing some framing real scale object/person?

frame the focus you want to achieve. Add some life to the sky.

carrs, traffic lights

moving blurred vehicles, people, plants, life in the building, sourrinduings..

Hi,

Thanks for the tips. I'm not using Vray. I do have an asphalt texture on the road and I just photographed some new ones today, I'll try those.

Yes to, people, traffic lights, and stuff.

Isn't it best to put people in post, like photoshop? If not where can I get good 3d people?

try getting a poor quality render, small, fast.

use this small quality in photoshop, place it and scale it on your new document, even if it looks terrible. Very quickly you can check and compose, correct anything regarding composition (this composition done in full quality, so if correct, you can reuse for final)

after you are sure that, for example, the post placed people in photoshop will fill in nicely, you can render the proper quality image. Dont know if it helps

I use RPC for people, and have some collections. But for starters, I place RPC content, just to check perspectives, vanishing points, heights, framing, etc

mmm sorry for not being very clear.

I meant to test your render (in poor quality) in photoshop, if you plan to post on photoshop. So you can go back and correct any issue you realice you wont be fixing in post.

As for 3d people, either use photographs with alpha, or RPC from archvision.com, I believe dosch design has some also.
