robkar97
Hi, I can't get stop materials from being displayed as 2-sided in the viewports. I've unchecked "Force 2-sided" (rightclicking the title of the viewport > Rendering method tab) and I haven't used 2-sided materials. If I render a scene with a box where I've flipped a few polygons it shows that the box is filled with gaps, but in the viewport it's solid. I use DirectX as graphics mode and is using 3ds max 9.0 on Windows XP. Robert
notamondayfan
right click your object, goto object properties, tick "backface cull". also in preferences somewhere theres another tickbox to cull backface on creation. hope that helps! robkar97
Great! It works. I went to Customize > Preferences > Viewport tab and checked Backface cull on object creation and now each new object created will automatically inherit this setting. Thanks.
