wizuby
I have recently started using Vray Sun and Sky and exporting my images as .exr files. It is working great, and the ability to change exposure post-rendering is awesome, but why don't my background images show up at all? I have the vray sky in the environment slot so it should be there in the final image shouldn't it? It used to be. Do .exr files not support background images? It seems like wherever there is alpha channel, it just becomes transparent in PS, usually there would be a background image there. What am I missing? Zdravko Barisic
Can you describe a little the way you export to .exr?
Stephen Thomas
You need to go into Views/Viewport background then check 'Use Environment' and 'Display Background'. Also make sure that your Vray sky is in max's environment rollout and not just vray's environment override.
wizuby
Interesting...I never had to do that with .tif or .jpg, but I will try that today. Thanks. Note: My Vray sky is in my max environment slot, and to export to .exr I use Vray Frame Buffer and when I go to save my finished image I just choose to save as .exr file type. Thanks again. Stephen Thomas
Just did a quick test, using max 9 and photoshop cs2, no problems. Background showed up fine in PS.
