dpcaltdcah
If I am using a precalculated irradience map and I render the same exact frame two times in a row without changing anything anyone know why the lighting would look different? every computer in the office is coming out with something different so it looks like the light is flickering. I've attached an example of a region that I rendered twice using the same irradience map from file on the same machine. I did not change a single thing between renders... tayrona
Is your irradiance in single mode? what are you using for secondary bounces?
dpcaltdcah
no, it's part of an animation so I'm using an irradience map calculated multiframe incremental every 10 frames. but the frame I'm test-rendering is one of the frames calculated. We don't have a second bounce, only fill lights for this project.
visual3d
What version are you using, i had the same problem with earlier vray...but 1.4 to 1.5 seems ok.
arturito
I think you should use secondary bounces (light cache) it makes the calculation more adaptative and avoid flickering.... and every 10 frames? is the camara moving fast? If you increase the nth value, you will get more softness..... and using light cache your imap will calculate really faster....
dpcaltdcah
it's 1.5 I will try a second bounce but why would the same frame render differently with the same settings?
