dinhtuan
There are some frames in the 3D animation we are working on. This project is in Canada and it's going to be an old style walkthought animation . We do follow hand drawings and some photos so your C&C will help me to correct detail, lighting environment and color .... C&C welcome ... thanks
Andy Park
models are great, lighting is good too, my only complaint... is this dullsville, there's no color?? its all grey. needs something, just to liven it up, buildings are all too drab, color wise. ralopez
The modeling is great, I would agree with Andy, they look dark for some reason. Try to lighten up the dark areas. Good Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RodT
HDRI's for lighting? Additional lighting would help. I"m not sure the tree in the last image isn't obsuring your otherwise very nice models...
dinhtuan
Thanks for comments. I updated a bit the color and change direct of sun. @RodT: I use Vray sun-camera with LWF for this project. I'm learnning how to control the Physical camera now. And you right about the tree, need to move this C&C pls.

RodT
much better, but I think the people are not as nice as your model, I'd let them go to RPC heaven.... they really don't add anything IMHO
dinhtuan
@Andy Park: THanks U @RodT: they are 3d peoples not RPC . I'll find someone else better .Thanks
Richard McWilliams
I like the modeling on the townhouses, but your grass is washed out - not very lush. The red curbs are distracting. I would replace it with a good concrete material. The glass in your latest view looks like reflective chalkboard. Also the view itself isn't very dramatic. Show off more of the residences instead of the driveway. Use the good modeling on the townhouses to your advantage!
Tommy L
Wow Dinh, looking good. What kind of render times are you getting? Its improved alot since you changed the sun-angle.

Thanks @Freelance: Images extracted from the animation with some motion blur @Tommy L: It took about 7mins/frame on my quadcore QX6700 . Attach here was the draft image I sent to client at the begining but they wasn't like the color , but now they change their mind and I'm changing the color. I'll update later
Tommy L
Looking good, maybe the secondary illumination needs a little boost? that maybe just my monitor settings though.

deevee84
i like the crispness of these images more so than the blurred effect. the colour on some of the houses look weird to me. like baby/ske blue...yellow. maybe the client wanted them. but overall its all good
dinhtuan
@deevee84: that images I've just rendered and sent to client to check. Do you have samples for color of the houses for me? Thank you.
Quique
Nice job, I really like the material effect you gave to the street. Would you mind explaining your process on this? The secondary lighting also looks much improved from the 1st images you posted.
oazanki
What do you use for trees and plants? Are these RPCs?
dinhtuan
@Enrique: Thanks. The material of the road is a mix material in diffuse. I'll take screenshot for you when come back to work tomorrow. @Omar: Trees and plants are evermotion 3D trees.

Scott Dombrowski
I think the images look great and have certainly come a long long ways since the first versions you posted. There are two (minor) things that caught my eye. First, in the image looking up the hill, there is a street sign on the left side of the frame. There is also a bit of vegetation behind that sign that would probably block it from view if you were in a car traveling down the hill. Perhaps the bushes on that side of the road could be moved back a little. Second, the scale of a couple of things seems just a little off. The mailboxes and the flower box outside the second story window are two examples. That could be a regional thing, but in my neck of the woods I don't think I've ever seen a mailbox or flower box that big. Like I said, minor things. Your vegetation looks awesome, and I'm looking forward to the animation.
dinhtuan
@nauticus27: Thanks you and here is the link to small version of the animation. C&C still welcome:D http://www.vnimater.com/vn/Animations/vnimation_loving_sm.wmv
Zeilveen
great model you got there and nice image if you ask me! feedback I can give is that while there is not much colour in the house you can use that and lower saturasation in photoshop and give a blend colour, if you like that.. maybe put the sun on the front or side gables a bit more, the fist series has alot of shadows and not much direct sunlight, see how that works, good stuff there!
