best way to get vray known.

hi,

i have to make a decision, which renderer i will buy for my max 8. used until now mental ray, cause it was built in max. but want to change now to final render or vray.

tried final render a while and am quite satisfied, also the support forum is ok.

now i want to take a look at vray cause all forums are full of praise.

can someone tell me the best way to get vray known, to get an impression of the workflow, etc.

wanted to ask this question on the chaos group forum, but was not allowed to do this....

i will use the renderer for architectural vizualisations.

There's a Vray demo in the support section on the Chaosgroup web site and links to documentation, and of course the articles on it in Visualization Insider and the Gnomon Global Illumination DVDs by Chris Nichols are very helpful.

What is it about mental ray that you don't like?

If you want to streamline your learning curve with vray I'd recommend Brian Smith http://www.3dats.com I've taken a couple of his classes and can't say enough good things about them....
