jonnypoland
this is supposed to be a palm house conservatory. i am trying to get an impressive conceptual image for a client but this is as far as i have got. i am not happy with the glass. i would like it to have a blue/green subtle tint and more reflections. the only way i know how to change the glass colour is with the fog multiplier which i have used but as you can see it hasnt worked. i am also not sure how to add reflections?? any help would be greatly appreciated jonny
Ray
Glass color can also be controlled by the diffuse color swatch. The strength controlled by refraction color swatch. Dial up your reflections by going from black to white in the reflection color swatch (or crank it all the way to white and check 'fresnel.') PAWUK
Also dont forget that to have reflections you need something to reflect, use an environment map and objects around . Also http://www.vray-materials.de/all_materials.php?category=Glass have a few coloured glass mats
ipxstudios
If you are using V-ray sun - drop the V-ray sky in the "environment" map slot in your material roll-out.
Dave Buckley
http://www.aversis.be/extra_tutorials/vray_glass_liquid.htm good glass tutorial there, also gives hints in how to create coloured glass (the same method he uses for the liquid) also a few other good vray tutorials on there
