tcorbett
I am putting together recommendations for my office to purchase various material and object libraries to be used primarily in VIZ. I am unfamiliar with any of the companies / products on the market. What do you all recommend? I work for an architectural firm whose projects run the full range of markets and styles (Commercial to high-end residential, contemporary to classical). Also what recommendations can you offer on environment systems (trees, plants, skydomes). Thanks! --Tom...
TheAllusionisst
Not an end all solution, but the site www.3dtotal.com has three texture paks that have the textures set up as Max material libraries as a bonus. I do not own Viz or Max, but the textures look good and the site has some tutorials using the texture paks. I have planned on purchasing them because of their apparent quality and affordable pricing. They are architectural in nature and can be found at the above site under products.

stefkeB
I suggest the 3D-Total CD's as the libraries are allready set up for you. I have "Professional Trees & Shrubs" from ImageCels and the quality is good (high-res TIFF + seperate Alpha-channel), but you need to set up each material on your own (no software-specific library included). The Marlin Textures are also good. The old ones are on a rather low resolution, but quality is very good.
