YOHKOH
Hi there I was wondering if anyone knows a way of getting one object to react to another. For example. I have a curved roof which is made up from a segemnt of a sphere. I then want to overlay a flat physical grid onto the roof and have it mould itself, and attach/inlay into the surface following the curve. A bit like using cloth modifier to drape a plane over a surface, but with more precision. I can do this using vray displacement no problem, but I would like to actually have a mesh of the resulting object. I'm sure this comes under the remit of nurbs but I was hoping there was a simple way using poly modelling. Thanks

YOHKOH
That worked, thanks. However if anyone could direct me toward a learning resource for creating smart mathematical geometry in max i would be very grateful. The kind of thing I want to do is be able to change number in a spread sheet which will then alter the geometry on screen and vice versa.
