i use heartinternet, they seem pretty straight forward.

i pay about £7 a year (inc domain registration(2yr)) and pretty happy at that, as i barely use my site at the mo, but keep one up just for the hell of it. theres loads of pricing options, but if you dont understand just go cheep, you can always upgrade later.

Hi Dave

First thing to do is to decide what you really want.

There's all in one package (incl domain reg, hosting site, some templates for web, some even offer design package) - less headache, more spending -, and there's the cheap mode of buying domain and host site separately (or host yourself)

All I can suggest is google a lot and make a comparison chart for the $$$.

Buying separately is cheaper, but you will need to really ask the sales team of what you really get. Some host site offer free multi-domain hosting and cloaking that you might need for your multiple domain names.

One advice is to use the one that have a good 24/7 support with Live Chat, not just the one with a 1800 number.

Hi,

I use one.com - they have been very professional. I think they work from Denmark, but they have a website in many languages including English. I pay the equivalent of 3 usd per month in hosting fee for a 2 gb account but there is a cheaper option of 1 gb or 1.5 usd. With this comes free MySQL, PHP, ASP, 24/7 chat support and webmail. I've used the support a few times and they could help me each time.

Registration is about 20 usd for a .com.

These days you can get a domain and hosting for virtually nothing!

Best

Robert
