Aaron2004
Hey guys, I'm upgrading my computer and I just realized that the case fans i got have a small 3-pin connector. I can plug one into the 'system fan' of the motherboard, but I'm at a loss how to power the rest. I was just expecting the standard, large, 4-pin power connector that my old fans had. Are there adaptors...am I just missing something? Thanks, Aaron
Crazy Homeless Guy
i thought this might be the solution, but i did a quick google search before i posted it... http://forums.legitreviews.com/about11585.html
Aaron2004
Mmm..well, they are doing it in the reverse order I want to. I need to go 3 to 4. However, it still might work. So I just switch the wires around, then? Do I have to get a hold of an old 4-pin head to put the wires in?
Crazy Homeless Guy
i would just plug it in and see what happens without switching any wires. when i did the quick search, i did see jumpers that you could buy to do the conversion. i can't recall exactly, but i think i have plugged it in before, and it worked fine. ...but, that is a foggy memory from several years ago. AJLynn
You have a small plug for the motherboad connection and you want a lage plug like pre-SATA hard drives use? This is the best site for stuff like that.
