upgrading a dell to a quad core...

I have a dimension 9200, with the 2.4ghz core 2 duo in it and 667mhz ram. I'd like to move up to the Q6600, but dell's motherboard's mounts for the heatsink are not the same layout as the standard heatsink. They're laid out in a rectangular fasion, not square. Is there a way to get it to work? It looks like the existing cooling is more than enough for the dual core...but I really don't want to kill a new chip.

Will the Q6600 run with 667mhz ram?

I think I'll be building my own machines from now on...

Thanks for any input,

Chuck
