Hows does Vray interprete Bump Maps ?

Recommended Posts

Which of these does Vray belongs to ?

 

1: The renderer treats black as neutral

[no bump] and any lighter values as elevation.

 

2: The render treats a middle grey [128:128:128] as neutral[no bump], black as depression and white as elevation.

 

 

I know Scanline belongs to "1" but may I ask does anyone knows which one does Vray belongs to ?
