Jason Matthews
I use acad 2002 to model with and then file link to viz 4. The question is, is there a way to get curved objects to show up smooth in viz. For instance, I did an archway on a pavillion. And when I file linked to viz, it made the archway faceted. Please help me. Thanks,
Ricardo Eloy
Try to use the facetres command, while still in AutoCAD. Set it to a high value and that should do. [] Rick
Fran
If they are ACIS solids, you can set Surface deviation to something lower in the Import options.
Jason Matthews
Thanks for the quick response. The ACIS surface deviation was the problem. The lower the setting, the smoother it gets. Don't set it to 0. Takes a really long time. Thanks again
salf
select the object that is not showing curved properly, and in the MODIFY tab, look for "SMOOTH", click on it and just put a higher level in there, just a bit, and the roundess will improve.
