gus_webb
i am having a problem with a strange, bright wall. for some reason, the end walls of this hallway keep appearing extremely bright, and I can't figure out why. the wall behind the camera does the same thing, if i turn around and render that view. I model in autocad and the walls are all one solid, so the end wall is part of it's surroundings. it's driving me insane! does anyone have any ideas? thanks... gus_webb
aha! perfect! thanks, strat. i didn't think i WAS all that inexperienced until i started reading these posts on a regular basis. i've since discovered that almost ALL of my renderings are NPR, whether intentional or not... orangecry i guess that's the problem with being self-taught; you're only as good as your teacher. STRAT
a common problem to the inexperienced. you're looking at those 2 end walls exactly straight on, and they're catching the light perfectly. to solve the problem use attenuation on your lights. Jason Matthews
I feel the same way you so, being self taught and all. The important thing is to not get discouraged. The more practice you get, the better you get, obviously. Just keep an eye on the forums like you have been doing. These guys know how to fix anything. Good luck with the rendering.
