bakspac
hi I am currently baking out sets for animation and as there are lot im trying to refine the process. my question is whats the fastest way to bake out multiple objects that have different map resolutions? at the moment i select each individual object, name it e.g wall_baked and then set the map resolution to the texture size. My problem is,i want to select all the objects in the scene that i have set up and render them at the specified resolution. it just seems to render them at the same resolution. any tips? or advice please. cheers
Jennifer
No luck for the Irish on this one? Texture baking seems to be more useful for game developers than the Arch & Design crowd; you need to have a lot of time to set things up, and adjust settings for each object. We made good use of Lightscape's ability to RTT, which made animations look great and render in seconds-per-frame. It would be nice to have some of that functionality back. Let me know if you found anything useful on this issue. Cheers! Jennifer O'Connor
notamondayfan
this months 3d world has a few pages about environment creation for primarily games environments, but a lot of the techniques could be used in animations or other forms of 3d.
