im Working on this proyect. I been with this idea for like over 2 years, now finally i started it so lets see what happend :)

Im not sure how much time im going to use to create this model / scene, iwill try to update this treath often. ( only if people is intresting in the process and can bring ideas to the table)

based on what you have posted so far, is your plan to keep the same feel of the original drawings? ....what about animation?

 

i can see an animation that has a lot of texture, and carries over some flavor from the original images. it could be really interesting. i can also see something similar to the link below.... only without the break dancer and graffiti. although i may only see a relationship to this because of the colors.

Not sure how im going to archive the final imagen yet, but i want to keep the same colors as the original draw, or at least the basic palette (orange,brown,yellow, "that range of colors) with real materials, as i said not 100% sure yet.

 

i have a little idea of a video, but it will take years of render, im stuill using a old pc : so...

i want to see more updates!!!

looks really cool.

i will advise you to use some kind of treatment on the outlines, ty to make them look very sketchy like the originals. you can use skatchup or cinema 4d, they have some awesome tools to this.

good luck and looking forward to see more updates.
