Sprite Animation with Look at Modifier

I'm an old 3ds4 animator who has been doing stills in FormZ for the past several years. Now I find myself having to do an animation in Viz3 and I'm having trouble with the look at modifier and copying tracks to make my tree sprites face the camera. I do all of my modeling in FormZ and import it into viz. I was able to select all of my trees and reset the pivot to the object center of each tree (instead of the origin as they come in), but I can't get the look at modifier to apply to all of the objects at once or copy tracks to the other trees once I get one tree set up the way I want it. Does anyone have a system for making hundreds of trees face the camera during animation.

The tree script looks like it would work great...if I were using any version that it actually worked with. As I said above, I'm on version 3. I was able to get something to work. By setting up a simple rotation of one tree to match the angle to the camera, I was then able to copy the rotation to all of the other trees in track view. Not as nice as the look at controler, but it works for now.
