Brett
Help – I have been spoiled by RPC and have forgotten the answer to this question. I have a leaf with an alpha channel that I am using for ground cover. I am having the “white glow blues” around the edge of the leaf. I remember something about specularity but cant recall. I have also tried to shrink the alpha channel around the leaf but this does not help. Thanks Brett
Paulcalif
Put an instance of the opacity map in the specular color, to mask out the specular highlights in the transparent areas. Also, if you are using a tga file, with a built in alpha channel, make sure to set the following: Diffuse Channel: Alpha source - None Mono Channel Output - RGB Intensity Opacity Channel: Alpha source - Image Alpha Mono Channel Output - Alpha Failing to set these up this way, for TGA's with included alpha maps, will also cause white halos.
