dinhtuan
http://thatch.cgsociety.org/gallery/510416/ People in 3D is most difficult in my experience so I think veryfast moving people with blur like in that animation is great way to learn. no need detail, no need GI.... Pls somebody have tutorial for me to understand how to do that. Thanks a lot!
chiquito
try using animated RPC´s, you can tweak around the speed. and adjust bluring from renderer. check http://www.archvision.com for tutorials on managing speeds on rpc´s
BrianKitts
I'm not so sure those people are even animated themselves, they are possibly just image maps on planes animated to cover a large distance in a short amount of time, turn on the motion blur and they're gone before you know it. Some of them are moving slow enough that if you watch certain places speacially the feet, the actual body isn't really moving, just the plane the person is mapped on to. Once you simplify it to that point it's nothing more than mastering motion blur.... it's not really so much about the people anymore. rather sneaky, but definately well done! dinhtuan
Thanks for your reply, I'll try but I'm afraid that it'll take long time with motion blur if we do render in 3dmax. BR
thatch
The people were 3d geometry animated along splines pretty quick! They were rendered separately from the main scene in Vray so adding 3d motion blur didn't really add much to the render times. The motion blur to the rest of the scene was 2d and added in Digital Fusion. Hope this helps.
