Interior Test Rendering

Hey all, I was doing a test rendering with the vray materials volume 1. This is my first interior rendering so any comments any crits are very welcome. I think my settings are high enough, but I still get noise in some areas. Without posting the settings, can anyone tell me what I need to increase? IM and LC for primary and secondary bounces.

Thanks,

Your light cache and irradiance map settings seem at odds with each other, ie LC=very high, IR=very low. You could probably drop LC subdivs to 1000, and up your IR to medium or high preset, drop Hsph subdivs to 20 and increase interp. samples to 30.

The noise is coming from your colour threshold being too high, drop it to 0.01 and see how you go. I normally use adaptive qmc, but I think adaptive subdivisions is the way to go here, as you have large smooth areas with little detail. Try dropping your min rate to -1 to allow for a bit of undersampling to these areas as this will improve your render times.

Let me know how you get on! :)
