rendering spots

I am working on an animation and right now am rendering out every 50th frame with the read/write FG settings to save my FG solution. a couple of the frames have spots as shown on the image I attached. Does anyone know why this is happening and suggestions on how to fix it?

What type of materials are used on the objects sitting on that tray? If it's anything other than the A&D material then switch it/them out for an A&D material.

 

If you're already using all A&D materials, then are you using the cutout function on any of those materials on/near the tray?

thanks, I will give some of these things a try. All the materials on the tray are A&D Materials. I increased the FG and on the comforter I removed the smooth modifier and added a turbo smooth modifier. and I removed the water bottle not very important. I will post the results when it is done...

Is this original max 9?

 

There was a bug in interpolated reflections that could look like this in original unpatched max 9. And it looks as if you are using interpolated reflections on the bedsheet!? That doesn't make much sense... use the "Highlights and FG only" mode for that kind of thing!
