Tommy Burns
Hi all Looking for some cc's on this my first post. The modelling was done in Microstation and rendered in Max 9 using Mental Ray 3.5. It is not a surveyed photomatch, that will be done later. I would love to know what you guys think. Thanks in advance Tommy
Trevor Tizard
There seems to be an issue with the verticals from the photo not matching the rendered model. May be worth correcting the photo in photoshop before matching the model with camera correction.
Tommy Burns
Yeah its not matched up too well as we will do a proper survey and photomatch later. Hopefully that will be more accurate. Good point though of amending the camera correction in the original photo never thought of that. I was really looking to know if you think the lighting, materials, glass etc. where ok? Also if anyone has any ideas on what to do with the stone panels whether to show the line divisions on them or just take them off. Thanks
Macer
I think that the stone panels look ok. I'd try to get some more reflection into the glass though - more like the glass in the buildings on either side. Perhaps decreasing the brightness internally might help. And if you get the perspective sorted you will be well on your way to a good image.
Tommy Burns
Thanks Mark I see your point about the reflections but they want to see into the building and see it bright so I guess that means no proper reflections. I think it is the right thing to do myself but thats what they want!
skywalker
You may want to check your lighting and lower the intensity down. Add some reflection to your windows and keep the same light source consistent with your existing model.

Conor Clancy
Tommy, looking good. I would add some people at street level and increase the refelction i the windows a little. C
3dSol
hi, i think the concrete walls and in general the new building lacks contrast in the lighting in comparison to the foto ure using, it makes the new building look flatter than the others, keep it up good luck!
