Drunkenbear
hi i'm sure this is something simple but its really f***ing me off when i try to draw a line it goes all jagged when i move from the first point, when I snap to something it straightens...any ideas how i can make it work properly..... also my snap isn't working, when i go to click on an imported dwg line it says its snapping but goes to a point just off the line...any reason why and how i can solve this cheers
Tommy Burns
Hi This is an old problem in max it's because your model isn't at 0,0 max doesn't seem to like world co-ordinates. If you move your xref to 0,0 I think it should be okay. Maybe someone might have a better fix for this one?
Sketchrender
if your file refing the drawing in you are tracing over , bind it, i find it crawl , if i do that. phil
mmowry
i find that problem only occurs when i'm viewing the model in a perspective viewport. may happen in "user" viewport as well, though I'm not sure. try drawing in 2d plan view - top, left, front, etc. should be easier. -michael
Nic H
Yep its to do with your model being too far from origin, often happens to me with imported CAD data.
