iamnoel
Just wanted to ask whether it is possible to have a LAN, render a single still image, I mean assign 3 computers to output 1 image. I was hoping to achieve a multi threading, distributing the work load of rendering of 1 image to several machines. Or is network rendering in Viz 4 specifically designed for animations only? thanx any help is apreciated. iamnoelr

abicalho
I'm very disappointed. This is a copy of my script, with variables renamed and features added. Copying code and enhancing it is acceptable, but at least acknowledge the source. This guy is not doing it, he said it's all his own. Put this script side by side with RNR and look for similarities. You'll find way too many for it to be a simple coincidence. Also, this script ships with Autodesk VIZ, 3dsmax 5 and the Design Extension, so it's copyright of Autodesk/Discreet and cannot be redistributed/modified without agreement. I'm contacting my manager and have notified him of it. Someone (maybe myself) will be contacting Martin specifically about it soon. quizzy
OOPS.... didn't know that.... well.... didn't know that.. I've looked at the code ofcourse, and at the source of the RNR that ships with MAX4 and find it very similar indeed.. well its not very nice he didn't mention the source, I always do that... ( I've only modified 2 existing scripts but still....)
