christr
Hi! I have a spline that I have received from a client, and I'm going to make a loft between certain parts on that spline. To do that I have to find some points on the spline. Is there a way to measure a distance from the start of a spline to a not yet defined point? Or is there another way to approach this? Thanks for any answers!
jucaro
you can use the spacing tool and place your 'point' markers on the desired position within the length of your spline path
notamondayfan
i have a long is solution- clone the spline (copy), make renderable, rectangular, then convert to edit poly. now goto create panel, turn on auto grid, then draw a box on one of the faces of poly converted spline. now adjust the length of your box to the desired length, and snap to the start point of you spline. delete the poly converted spline, and theres your measurement! christr
Thank you both. Didn't know about the spacing tool, but tried it and it worked out perfect!
