SgWRX
hello. is there a way to tone down the light color contribution from FG and/or GI. for example, i'm using the standard template for a glossy wood floor in my room, i have a white ceiling (the arch&design matt finish template) and lightly gold colored walls (same a&d matt finish). it seems the floor color is bleeding very heavily. no other lights in scene than the daylight system. 3 diffuse bounces on FG and multiplier of 3. the GI multiplier is 6. for example, in the rendering with mental ray book, the example showing a bathroom with 1 white wall across from a red wall and perpendicular to a blue wall. the white wall still looks white. maybe i missed something in that book... thanks
SgWRX
ha. funny thing, i rendered a different angle to check something else and the walls seem a lot less colored. could it be the brdf thing? hm.
coolian`
I think you can change the reflected color in the photon attributes of the floor material.
SgWRX
thanks. i haven't tracked down any info on this yet. i also found a comment in one of the books that said to use a low diffuse bounces to cut down on color bleed.
