AFK_Matrix
I am going back to my 3rd Year University project to remodel and enhance it and am just wondering how you would model this dome structure? It is hollow inside, it is a cladded sturcture and on one of the domes it has windows in it. I have attached some pictures of what I am trying to create. Thanks. Dave Buckley
split those pictures up and place them in your viewports to use like you would use blueprints, if you don't know how to do that then i suggest you search tutorials on setting up blueprints and also tutorials on car modelling, as the process would be the same
Chasteen
I would create a sphere object, adjust the number of divisions to match, add 2 slice modifiers, adjust the polygons' material ID's (1 for cladding, 2 for glass), create & apply a multi-subobject material, add a FFD modifier to adjust for the dome's less than perfect spherical shape, and last add a shell modifier. I can't see the trusses well enough to comment so I assume it's just the dome cladding your inquiring about.
