MD
I don't think acad work on 64bit windows with some modification. I am surprised he even got it installed. it is common to have problems with acad and x64 windows - search google for the problem and solutions... it's probably not the graphics card. Antisthenes
software that came out before the OS came out is less likely to be trouble free. a quick fix might be Progecad if not upgrading to the latest acad versions that came out post 64bit, i mean everybody who owns autodesk products now has to be on subscription right(and if not they better have a interoperatle intellicad installed)? thus giving access to the newest versions, if i am thinking right. BrianKitts
our IT dept did some extensive testing before we jumped to 64bit. It was necessary to cover all bases as we did a full company upgrade on all 64bit capable systems. that was definately one of the major road blocks, in the end it turned out to be a no go and so when we rolled out the 64bit upgrade it also included jumping everyone to ACAD2009. They really wanted to stay with the old release but after a month of trials found no solution. Not really a solution to your problem but may save you from beating your head over an insolvable problem.
MD
I ended up getting AutoCAD 2008 x64 to solve this problem. It runs perfectly and have not had any issues. Users trying to run autocad on vista home run into the same problems as trying to run normal cad on x64 XP.
