max 9 and ADT 2007

Hello

I`m posting this post on this forum also since there may be users of max that don`t use ADT often, but still can give an answer.

I have a file created in ADT 2007.

How can I import and view it in max9?

After hours of work, drawing in different templates, using different objects and so on, I am far from finding a solution.

I use the File Link Manager, but it seems like only splines are imported, not solid objects like walls or windows.

Sometimes even splines is not imported.

In the File Manager Linked files dialog box, no drawings appears (only when I have a drawing containing only splines).

Max9 doesn`t import dwgs from ADT 2006, 2007, or Architeture 2008.

Max 8 import from ADT 2006, not from 2007 or 2008.

According to the max documentation importing from Autocad, Revit and ADT should be very streamlined and easy.

In previous versions I could install a OE (object enabler) that allowed object data created in Autodesk Architectural Desktop to be accessed in max.

I can`t find such a software for 2007, or am I missing something?

thanks in advance

cough...cough...b%$@s@#t...

The best part of SIGGRAPH this year was hearing the autodesk people finally admit that Revit-max just doesn't work. From what they say in max 2008 its finally better but...

thanks for your reply.

Have you installed plugins, Object Enablers?

(As you can see), I`m from Norway, and for ADT 2006 and 2007 it is installed a location package that suits the conditions here. That means that walls, windows, doors and so on are AEC-objects are unique.

But objects shipped with ADT, like curtain walls, stairs, are not imported either

Only solids like boxes, spheres and so on (and splines) are imported.

I really can`t figure this out. Any suggestions?

maybe I should try to reinstall max9...
