antonio_frias
I watched a tv show last night that showed a house by an architect called Ray Kappe. I had never heard of him over here in France, but the house I saw on television was a true masterpiece of architecture. Does anyone know where I can read more about this house or where I can see some photos , floor plans, elevations, anything? When will american architects start exporting there way of designing homes and living space? I think we europeans would have a lot to learn from them in this area! jackb602
That's funny, I just came across a posting about him yesterday. http://www.kappedu.com/RayKappe.html I stumbled upon a monograph of his work a few years ago, and I was surprised that I had never heard of him. He really carries on the organic tradition begun by people like Wright and Schindler. Apparently he's 80 now and still going strong. I would love to see one of his projects in person. I really admire his work. Jack EDIT: One of his houses is featured in the clip "An Architect" from Californication: http://www.sho.com/site/californication/prevepisodes.do?episodeid=130620
