lyca
Hy all i got a 3d building in max and my client wants an stl file for 3d printing. for this the object must be closed and made of one object. but my model is devided in parts (roof, walls etc.) So my question is how do in attache or weld all the parts to make one and only object before i export it to STL format ? any idea ? thanks
chiquito
As to convert it to one objetc, select everithing and go to a collapse. However I would check on the overlaping poligongs, etc. never did a 3d printing from a digital model, just cut outs for model assembling. Could you please share your results, problems, tips, etc of your result? Good luck

Good luck Thanks Yes as soon as i get the model, i'll post some pictures and compare it with the original 3D file. 3D Printing is something who is missing in this very good forum, is very hard to find some clear information.
