RimasK
See attached image. Scene is lit by Vray Sun+Sky, vray physical camera is used, material correction rgb 0,255 is used, but the biggest problem as you can see is GLASS. There is no environment to reflect. I have searched all forum (not only this one), have read all posts about glass and still result is far away from the result I would like to see. Any HELP would be appreciated. RimasK
Problem is, that my glass do not have what to reflect. If I try to put som bitmap it to glass material environment slot or in Vray reflect/refract override slot - it does not helping to get any reflections on the glass, I;m quit new to Vray phisical camera and just testing Sun + Sky + PsCam, setup, but as I see, I'm not able to solve GLASS question
poklius
Try to place plane with image on it close to the building, so windows will have what to reflect. Dont forget to make it invisible to camera and cast and receive shadows disabled, also generate GI disabled. This works quite good for me
kiittea
Try to place plane with image on it close to the building, so windows will have what to reflect. Yes .. I forgot to tell about this. You can even some trees or earlier building models. But make sure that they are behind your camera
RimasK
Here is the question. Today I found out that it is no difference do I put bitmap in the environment reflect/refract override slot, or I build fake wall in front of the building with bitmap on it nothing changes, until ..... I increase rgb level in bitmap output options rollout. If it is set to 1.0 (as default) – glass reflections are to dark, if I increase it to 20.0 – windows reflect bitmap as environment. WHY ? and What do I do wrong ? is it something with VRay physical camera?
