dagor
Hi all, as i promised i start new detailed wip of verandah for Coutry-house i`v finished base geometry - wall, ceiling, floor, beams. Windows and doors are ready too. I make quick texturing but it`s need some ajustement. Building (all rooms) is one mesh. All vertexes are welded. There are no holes or open edges. If someone want i`ll share it in max or obj file. I think it can be interesting for beginner.
blowback
Hey Dagor, are you putting all these rooms together for an animation, or did the client just want to see all the major rooms? Do you always weld everything together when you model?
dagor
you are the one who are interested ))) thanks ))) yes i always put all my room together and fill it with furniture. it doesn`t take much time. But when i render one room - i delete other. All my rooms, furniture, accsessories are in different layer and i can quickly delete or save selection for rendering. I want make animation for myself. Client don`t want it. There will be additional render with open doors for client. I do it because i like complex, logical order in my project. I can easy manage all material and model. All models, for example door handle are instanced. I also use x-ref for very heavy geometry. It`s realy not hard to make welded room. And it doesn`t take much time ))
blowback
Thanks, That sounds similar to the way I put things together except for the welding. I usually don't. I don't do many interiors so I can get away with it. Probably a practice I should incorporate my modeling.
