Billabong
IM getting an error with vray sayings that map#323 is not compatible with Vray and may cause problems, my questions is, is there an easy way to find this map. I have a plethora of mats in my scene and im not sure which one it is, is there a way to do a search for this mat. Thanks
gfa2
Go into the Material Editor and choose an empty slot, then click the Standard button, on the left side of the material/map browser choose 'Scene' and it will show you every material in your scene. Just scroll through there until you see the one you want and double click it. It will load that into the material editor so you can modify it. Vray also has a built in script that can change every material in the scene to a Vray material, but I don't really like that script. I don't like the way it changes some of the material settings. There is a better vray material script (http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/vraymtlconverter) that does a really nice job for a global standard to Vray material change. Billabong
that worked perfectly Gary, thank you, Funny thing is I didnt even have the material in the scene, but whne I merged an object it got merged along with it, but i had changed the material of the object, but i guess the orignal mat was still in the file and giving the error, thanks so much again
