laxmon
When I was going through a tutorial, there was a file which gives a "POP UP NOTE" about the method of doing and the tips. Is this a script which runs at opening time. My question is how to do this. I tried to overwrite this through "file properties" it did'nt work. I am having max 9.0 can anybody tell me what's this !!!!!!!!!!
Matt Clementson
It's built into MAX but not usually enabled in the UI. You need to customise your Menus and add 'Add a Pop-up Note' to the menu then you can access it. One word of warning - I have in the past had issues with files saved with notes and network rendering - not sure if this issue was resolved in later MAX versions but just letting you know so that you're aware that there could be an issue. Matt Clementson
OK - here it is in steps; 1) Start MAX 2) Choose Customize -> Customize User Interface... from the menu 3) Go to the Menus tab 4) In the box on the right expand the File menu so you can see all the entries 5) From the Actions box on the left scroll down till you find 'Add a Pop-up Note' 6) Drag 'Add a Pop-up Note' onto the window on the right, position it where you want it on your menu. (I put it under Summary Info) 7) Close the customise box and you should now have a new menu option on your File menu. 8) Whenever you want to add a pop-up note choose this menu option and you're away.
