Be certain to mark Sunday, December 2nd, 2007 as 'busy', because you won't want to miss our biggest User's Group event of the year! '3December' is the annual celebration of all things 3D, it's name a take-off of '3D' and 'December 3rd'. This is the 9th year of the event, a theme that Autodesk has continued after acquiring Alias in 2006. This is a Global Celebration, with events happening all over the planet in the course of the week of December 3rd. Our event is December 2nd this year. Chicago is one of the largest and fastest growing users groups for Max and Maya, and we've been working to make this a unique and special event for everyone. Location The kind folks at DePaul University here in Chicago will be hosting the event at their School of Computer Science, Telecommunications and Information Systems, "CTI". The CTI building is at: DePaul University School of CTI 243 South Wabash Avenue Chicago, IL 60604 http://www.cti.depaul.edu The event will be in Meeting Room 924, and will run from Noon until about 5pm. A selection of delicious food will be available. Please RSVP to jenni @ max3ds.com to let us know you will be attending. I want to thank the team at DePaul in advance for all the hard work it took to make this happen. Speakers We are in process of finalizing a number of very special speakers for the event, including Max and Maya Industry Professionals in the Game and Architectural / Product Visualization fields, Max and Maya Educators, and 3D users such as yourself. If you are interested in giving a demonstration, large or small, or want to showcase your portfolio or a project, please let me know. For this event we will be sending members an additional email which will list speakers and a schedule for each demonstration, and a SWAG list. Max and Maya will both be covered, so there will be plenty of information for everyone! We will also have some Open Forum time for attendees to showcase their work, for Q&A, and plenty of time to socialize throughout the day. This is a great opportunity to meet your counterparts in the industry! Please feel free to bring still-images, videos and show reels of your work to share with the group in our Electronic Theater. The meeting is for and about the users, so show your stuff! RSVP Please RSVP to jenni @ max3ds.com to let me know that you will be attending. We are working out the menu, and want to make sure we have plenty of food. This is a free event, as always. The meeting is open to all students, professionals, and educators using 3ds Max, Maya and MotionBuilder.
